Accurate measurements make a made-to-order gown easier to prepare, but the process is not a race to produce the smallest number. The goal is a repeatable set of measurements taken in a consistent posture, with the order number attached to the correct gown.
Important timing: Drezanielle's current measurement page says to submit the form after placing an order. Keep the order number available so the measurements can be connected to the made-to-order gown.
Before you measure
- Use a flexible tape measure and a full-length mirror if available.
- Wear the undergarments and a similar shoe height to the ones you expect to use for the event.
- Stand naturally, with your weight balanced and your breathing relaxed. Do not pull the tape tight.
- Ask a second person to help when a measurement wraps around the body or follows the floor.
- Repeat any number that looks surprising and record the date, unit and who took it.
These steps are measurement hygiene, not a substitute for the instructions in the form. If the form or the atelier asks for a different position or unit, follow that instruction.
Use the order number as the connection point
The current Body Measurement Form is intended for use after ordering. Enter the order number exactly as shown in your confirmation, then submit the requested measurements for that gown. Do not attach a measurement set to the wrong order or send a revised set through an unrelated channel without explaining which version is current.
If a number changes because the first reading was wrong, contact the atelier promptly and identify the original and corrected values. Keep a copy of what you submitted. This creates a simple audit trail without assuming that a particular measurement or ease allowance applies to every silhouette.
Check the gown and the event together
Measurement is only one part of fit. Before you order, note the silhouette, visible train or cape, neckline, sleeve shape and intended shoe height shown on the product page. A fitted mermaid shape, a column gown and a mini formal dress do not move or sit the same way even when the same body measurements are used.
Review the individual listing for confirmed color, design details, price and availability. Exact garment measurements, stretch, closure, lining and fabric composition are not assumed across the catalog. If you need a specific hem, train or construction change, ask before ordering rather than treating a general size number as a custom design agreement.
A short quality check
- Read the product page and choose the exact style and variant.
- Place the order only when the production and shipping window works for the event.
- Take the measurements calmly and repeat them before submitting.
- Submit the form after ordering with the correct order number.
- Save the confirmation and contact the atelier if your body measurements or event requirements change.
Start with the evening gown collection or mini formal dress collection, then read the guide to made-to-order terminology. The shipping page explains the current production and dispatch information that should be considered before measurements are submitted.
For a concrete comparison, open the Silver Gray Floral Crystal Puff-Sleeve Evening Gown and the Cream White Mini Feather Mini Formal Dress. Use each listing's own title, images and confirmed details when deciding what to ask about fit; do not transfer one product's construction or measurements to the other.
Editorial note from Drezanielle Atelier: this is a preparation guide, not a replacement for the live measurement form or a fit diagnosis. The current form and the atelier's direct instructions take priority.
